Naruto/Naruto Shippuden

Hello happy surprise, today's review is going to be Naruto! I am going to start by breaking it down into three simple categories. The first series of Naruto, the Second series of Naruto ((Naruto Shippuden)), and general Naruto. I must say I am not a huge fan Naruto, but this review has both good and bad, so please keep reading.
Naruto in general has a relatively interesting plot line. Unfortunately to get to it you must go through mainly episodes of filler, too many flashbacks, countless, literally countless, annoying catch phrases that are repeated every two seconds on every single line, and that are probably just there because of the bad dubbing job. Not only all of that, but if you are like some of the people I know and can't follow with subtitles, you must listen to the most grueling dub job in the entire world as the voices can cause a migraine headache faster than you can say 'BELIEVE IT!'.
If you can cut out the filler, the flashbacks that arent' important to the plot -*ahem* all of them-, every single 'Believe it' in the series, and give it to me subtitled, I'll watch Naruto not only for the hot, emo guys, the annoying, pink haired girl we all love to bash on, the oh so loveable main character, but also the intersting plot, and ninjas!

I must say, while I am not a fan of really any mainstream animes, ((i.e. Bleach, Naruto, anything you can find the average american Hot Topic probably)) Naruto- the first series- was the worst anime I have ever seen in my entire life.
I found the comedy not laughable. The romance couldn't make a fangirl swoon, and the action put my 5 year old cousin to sleep, as well as myself. The character profiles might have looked good on paper as the blong-haired, spunky, kind-of-annoying, yet lovable main character pulls together the super-annoying, way to into herself and her problems, girl with pink hair - which i think is supposed to reflect her inner gentleness or somthing-, and the dark, depressing, silent, sad, emo guy together. As a trio, unfortunatly, when these three characters were thrown into the mixer and onto the TV and manga, I found it to be nothing but teenage drama of these three 'just-trying-to-fit-in-and-making-each-other-their-own-family' with a side of ninjas. When I watch an anime with NINJAS! I should not be more interested in the adults. If I had wanted a teenage drama I would have went to see the 'Twilight' of that time. I would go see it now, but that's just not the kind of mind-numbing drivel I enjoy. Thats for another review though. :) The only thing good that came out of this anime was the production of the following three things; Naruto Shippuden, Naruto:The Abridged Series, and somthing for the Naruto: The Abridged Series to make fun of.
In the second series of Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, I was able to sit through an entire episode without feeling like I should be in kindergarden again. Once the characters had matured and the plot line was a bit more worth it, I found the series not such a waste of my time. I couldn't cosplay for it since I have better things to use my time and money on, but it was definitely somthing I would watch again if I had lost my other anime DVDs-as well as my disney DVDs-,and all I had left were normal people movies. However this is where the positives come in. Like I said before the plot and the characters had both advanced and this made an enormous improvement. The dubs are slightly better in this Shippuden series...and that's the end of the positives. I give you characters, plot, and dubs. ((of course, for clarification, I am referring to the voicing; not how the words are lined up with the mouths.)) I will however stick to my morals as a dedicated anime viewer, if you were to watch this series, you would HAVE to endure the first series as well. It's just unfair for you to skip and the rest of us to deal with it.
In summing up my report:
Naruto in general is annoying, mainstream anime, and I dislike everything about it.
Naruto -The first series- : Is unspeakably terrible and makes my stomach turn simply thinking about it. It has a relatively good plot line, but thats about it, everything else about the anime is unenjoyable.
Naruto Shippuden : Better than the first series, definatly worth watching, but still I am not a huge fan of it.

Unfortunatly this is a very popular anime, I know, please do not judge me too much. These are just my views on the anime and I hope that even if you disagree you will continue to read my blog and not base my entire series on this one post. I have many different opinions on many different animes. Thank you for reading my blog and for your time. I appreciate any comments, readers, and support in any ways. >.< :) please have a WONDERFUL day.

Sincerely As Always, Signed,

Lets Start Main Stream

Alright everyone, for the first few posts I'm going to review some old anime's so you can get a feel for my views on animes and what makes them GRRREAT! Let me ask you this, how better to enter a new blog about mainly anime than through some reviews of mainstream - what I like to call "Gateway" - animes?NONE! The first two I will do will be of everyone's favorite anime 'Naruto' and of another great anime 'DeathNote'. The third I will be reviewing will be stepping into the past with 'SailorMoon'. I believe that these three animes can give you a feel for what I do and do not like in my anime. I hope that this will help you to continue reading my blog if you enjoy my opinions. I will be making these posts through the rest of the week and I hope that you all will enjoy reading them.
SPOILER: On my next three blog entries you will read three reviews of 'Naruto', 'DeathNote', and 'SailorMoon!' The sad thing is, is that you will unfortunatly only be reading 2 happy reviews, one of these reveared animes will be ripped to shreds ruthlessly and without mercy. Think you can take? Then I'd keep reading. >.O see you in my next blog entry.

~Sincerly as Always, Signed

((P.S. I knwo the annoying txt colors, are well, annoying, in my reviews I will be typing in black. I assure you. this is oddly uncomfortable to read but this is how i will be typing the updates. Sorry for the inconvienance. *kowtows* ))
